Friends for Mental Health is a non-profit community organization that provides families and friends with the support, information and education they need to help them cope with a loved one's mental illness.

Relative not doing well? Need help?
Your relative is exhibiting unusual or disorganized behavior, giving inappropriate emotional responses, seeing or hearing things that exist only in his/her mind, etc.
You are very concerned about his well being?
You are not alone!

Our team at Friends for Mental health is available to offer you professional services:

Our regular hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition, support groups, conferences, meetings, courses, art therapy, and other also offered some evenings.

When our offices are closed, you can contact the crisis centre,
at (514) 684-6160, open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
If you or your ill relative are in a dangerous situation you must call 911.

If the danger is not immediate you can make a Request for Psychiatric Evaluation according to the law (la Loi sur la protection des personnes dont l'état mental présente un danger pour elles-mêmes ou pour autrui).
