About us

Facing mental illness is painful for families. It can undermine their ability to cope with everyday living. Friends for Mental Health guides families towards new paths in learning better ways to live with mental illnesses. We listen and counsel, offering self-help and respite. We also promote public awareness of mental health issues and can provide information and referrals for mental health services. Working in collaboration with other professional mental health care providers allows us to offer the best mental health care support possible. Friends for Mental Health prides itself on being a flexible organization, able to quickly respond to changing needs. We are a non-profit, bilingual organization serving primarily the West Island of Montreal.
