The Grandparent Support Group
This monthly support group joins together individuals who not only have an adult child with a mental health disorder, but whom are also responsible for the care of their grandchildren due to the mental health disorder of the parent.
Grandparents often have the burden of coping with difficult behaviors and alienation from their own children as well as coping with being a primary caregiver to young children, often with legal restraints and complicated emotional situations that make daily tasks very difficult. This group aims at supporting grandparents in their unique challenges through sharing of information, breaking isolation and reducing frustration and stress.
Every 3rd Wednesday of each month, 10:00 am – 12:00 p.m.
